We realize that people have differing requirements for food and that an all-meals included plan doesn't work for everyone. As such, we are offering the same Andaman Diver package, but without meals - so you have the freedom to eat ala carte at our restaurant or go out and explore the other options on the island.

Otherwise, the package is the same - designed to give a taste of the best diving that Havelock has to offer, and leave you with ample time to unwind on a hammock.

• 6 days/12 dives
• 1 night dive

This is the same package as the Long Term Diver package above, with the only exception that meals are not included: this gives you the flexibility to eat elsewhere, and, if you are not a big eater, doesn't lock you down into a meal plan.

In keeping with our philosophy, courses are done in small groups, with unlimited confined water training and even 1-to-1 instruction, if needed, at no additional charge. We want you to be good divers, and will do whatever it takes to get you there.

The package includes:

• 6 nights accommodation
• All meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
• SSI Open Water certification (PADI & NAUI also possible - see below)
• 1 day / 2 dives after certification
• All transfers - airport to airport

7) "New Season" Diver Special (valid June 1 - Sep 30)

Traditionally, August & September have been termed the off-season in the Andamans. However, based on our recent findings, this period actually offers some really special diving in terms of fish life and activity. Yes, it is true that there are occasional showers, but the seas are mostly flat and our dive sites tend to be accessible. Most importantly, the number of fish that can be seen increases dramatically during this period - we have seen schools of 30 manta rays go soaring by, been funnelled by over 300 barracudas, been surrounded by a swirling shoal of over 500 fusiliers and lot more.

The past few years, the monsoons haven't really hit us till July either. This means that June has become a de-facto extension of the peak season: sunny skies (although some clouds and brief tropical showers), warm water, high chance of mantas and overall, very good diving. As such, we have also extended this package to June/July as well - an additional discount applies during that period as well.

Weatherwise, conditions are variable. You can have a few days of very rough seas, in which case we will be diving close to shore. And then the weather can take a turn for the better, and give us flat calms seas with access to all our remote dive sites. Even in the peak of monsoons, we are still able to go out daily, though - so that is some consolation.

And monsoon rains typically mean short, heavy showers, although occasionally (usually 2-3 times during this period), we get massive rain, the kind that lasts for hours and gives us a swimming pool on the premises :)

However, dont let the rain put you off - the islands are absolutely magical in the rain. The rains are warm, the water is warm and the casual tourists are not present, so you have miles and miles of beach all to yourself. And of course, there is diving. What else do you need? :)

8) Experience Havelock package

This is the ideal package for those who want to experience a mix of the Andamans lifestyle - the quiet beaches, the swaying palms, the general peace and quiet - but who also want to experience some of the magic that these azure waters hold.

So we have put together a combination of activities that will give you a good mix of all the Andaman specialties that Havelock has to offer: quality time on the beach, a half-day intro to diving and a beach dinner to really make this a trip to remember.

With our emphasis on professional supervision/safety/training mixed with fun, this is a great package for honeymooners, families, people who are new to the ocean, etc. It is also a great way to combine a Havelock trip as part of a larger Andaman holiday.

This package includes:

• 3 nights accommodation
• All meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
• One 1/2 Intro to Diving program for beginners (includes 1 dive)
• 1 private beach dinner for your group
• 1 trip to Radhanagar Beach to see the sunset, with picnic basket

If you want, you can also upgrade to the SSI Resort Diver certification course - while this does not train you to be a fully-independent diver, you do get certified to dive up to 12m under professional supervision. Then, next time you are on holiday somewhere by the sea, you can go out for another dive and dive with greater confidence and comfort.

The Resort Diver course includes an additional dive as well, making a total of 2.

You can also do the PADI equivalent of the Resort Diver course, called the Scuba Diver course, if you want.
