Facilities and Amenities
 
We offer accommodation in plush, safari-style semi-permanent tents and comfy huts.
Tented Cabanas

These large and tastefully decorated Swiss-style (we have no idea why they are called Swiss-style, but they are) luxury tents are the same design as used by much more expensive resorts elsewhere.

Built on permanent plinths, these tents are decorated tastefully & exude coziness and comfort, with a lot of little touches which go a long way towards making your stay more enjoyable: plenty of plug points to make your life easier; ample storage space for your clothes; a balcony with rocking chairs for relaxing with a book; a powerful fan (no AC needed!) and electronic mozzie repellants (it works) or mozzie nets, whatever you prefer, and an en-suite bathroom (yep, hot water*).

 
Standard Huts:

For travellers on a budget, the Standard Huts are a very good option and a significant improvement over other comparitively priced budget accommodation options (if we may so ourselves). These comfortable and roomy huts come with decent-sized beds (sized for adult humans, for a change), ample shelf space and fan.

What sets them apart from other budget accommodation is the attention we have spent on the common toilet/showers. Ours are tiled, kept very clean and offer hot water showers - in fact, we are the only place to get hot water showers* for less than Rs 1500. Mosquito nets or electronic mozzie repellants are also available.

 

Upgraded Huts:

We have upgraded some of the Standard Huts to include an attached bathroom, with open-air showers as well. In other respects, they are the same as the Standard Huts above. For the budget conscious - especially those who, like us, think that a room is mainly for storing gear and sleeping - these provide an excellent value in rooms with attached bathrooms.

There are ample common areas for socializing, and enough private spaces to allow you to have a quiet moment if you so desire. Also check out the Facilities and Amenities section for more information on what we have to offer.

Our philosophy is value for money - we aren't trying to offer the cheapest possible accommodation, nor are we trying to build a super high-end resort. We are geared towards people who want a comfortable accommodation and friendly,personal service while retaining the feeling of being in a remote and exotic tropical destination - but without paying 5-star resort rates. Of course, if you want to pay 5-star resort rates, you are more than welcome to pay us more - we are very flexible in that regard.

We aren't a big resort, nor do we want to become one. We like knowing all our guests by name and fin size. And that way, everyone gets to have a hammock as well (and we don't have to give up ours!).

*UPDATE - As of right now, due to severe increase in electricity demands, the island's generator cannot produce enough power (we are supposed to get 220V, we get 170V), the hot water geysers have been disconnected. This is going to continue until the island's electricity production has been upgraded. Please be aware of this.
