The Andamans - the very name conjures
up images of mysterious islands with dense forests, native
tribes and uncharted seas. Among divers, this region enjoys
a reputation of being one of last remaining places offering
pristine reefs and amazing fishlife and also retaining its
idyllic charm and serenity.
Until now, the Andamans have been a very remote destination
to visit - but with the islands slowly opening up, whispers
about the wonders of its underwater world are also starting
to gain volume.
This is where Island Vinnie's Tropical Cabanas and Dive Center
comes in. Based on the island of Havelock, We are a full service
dive center and resort based in the Andaman Islands, India,
and offer a total experience for the visiting diver - professional
dive operations, comfortable accommodation, assistance with
travel and logistics in the Andamans and serious value for
money.

- Brand-new tents. The old ones went south really quickly last year, much faster than the "5 year, guaranteed" we were told by the manufacturer. This was quite embarassing for us, as there was nothing we could do midway through a very hectic season. However, we have brand new tents on the way and these should be installed by the first week of September.
- PADI, NAUI and SSI scuba diving
certification courses from Open Water (basic certification)
to Instructor
- Daily scuba diving trips to
the best sites of the Andamans - with a few exciting new sites available exclusive to us.
- Comfortable, good-value accommodation
catering to a wide array of budgets
- Hearty, tasteful food - the Full Moon Cafe, and its top-notch team, is now going to be operating out of our resort. We expect to have one of the top restaurants in Havelock this coming season (the dogs are really looking forward to it as well) - those who have eaten at the Full Moon Cafe know that this is not just another idle claim made on the Web.
- Broadband VSAT-based internet -- the first of its kind in the Andamans. There is a catch as of now - limited availability due to bandwidth limits imposed by our provider, but we are hoping to sort it out and make the entire resort wifi very soon! However, until that happens, you can still keep up with urgent emails and sports scores while here.
- A sociable atmosphere for sharing
apres-dive beverages and stories - soon to be expanded to beachside seating as well (target - Nov 2009).
