Island Vinnie's - A full service dive resort located in the Andaman Islands, India

The Andamans - the very name conjures up images of mysterious islands with dense forests, native tribes and uncharted seas. Among divers, this region enjoys a reputation of being one of last remaining places offering pristine reefs and amazing fishlife and also retaining its idyllic charm and serenity.

Until now, the Andamans have been a very remote destination to visit - but with the islands slowly opening up, whispers about the wonders of its underwater world are also starting to gain volume.

This is where Island Vinnie's Tropical Cabanas and Dive Center comes in. Based on the island of Havelock, We are a full service dive center and resort based in the Andaman Islands, India, and offer a total experience for the visiting diver - professional dive operations, comfortable accommodation, assistance with travel and logistics in the Andamans and serious value for money.

What's new or notable for 2012-2013:

  • PADI, NAUI and SSI scuba diving certification courses from Open Water (basic certification) to Instructor, with overnight (or longer) extensions on Neil Island
  • Daily scuba diving trips to the best sites of the Andamans - including the newly-discovered sites of Neil Island
  • Comfortable, good-value accommodation catering to a wide array of budgets
  • Hearty, tasteful food - the Full Moon Cafe, and its top-notch team, is now entering its fourth season here and has expanded its menu significantly, and also established itself as one of the best retaurants on the islands (the dogs are really happy about this as well, as shown by their bulging waistlines) - Trip Advisor certainly rates both us and the restaurant highly.

In addition, as tourist volumes to the Andamans increase, we are getting a lot more inquiries for 1-2n stays. We are not a typical, apersonal resort and do not want to become one - as such, to make sure we retain our unique vibe, we have made a decision to not take any advance bookings (ie, more than 2 weeks prior) for people looking just for accommodation. We are primarily a dive center and so will be focusing on divers: both beginners and experienced.
